Today I continued to email with various cake places, trying to get more information on pricing and starting to set up cake tastings for when we go home.  Yiiippee!
My mom said that I also need to make an appointment with Waialae to go over the menu for the rehearsal dinner so I still need to talk to Sean's mom about what we'll be serving and then confirm a date to discuss it with someone there.  I thought I could just do it via email, but I guess I have to do it in  person.
I started reading my book "The Wedding Book" by Mindy Weiss again.  Samantha gave it to me as an engagement present and I was all gung ho about it in the beginning but then haven't opened it up in a while.  It's super duper informative, but lengthy (400+ pages) and I want to be thorough in reading it.  Right now I'm on page 151 and it's about license requirements and "Making It Legal".  I told Sean originally that it was his job (since it's not very fun haha) but of course I already looked it up and printed out the application.  I have it in my binder with a pink post-it.  It seems as if all we need is $60 cash, a valid drivers license, passport or photo ID.  Some place require blood tests and all kinds of crazy things, doesn't seem like we need that in Hawaii.  One thing is though, it expires 30 days from issuance so we can't get it yet on our trip in June.  We'll have to do it in November I guess.  Another interesting/ disgusting thing is that "cousins may marry.   However, the blood relationship between the prospective bride and groom cannot be closer than first cousins".  Gross!  But at the same time, I guess not THAT surprising seeing as everyone knows everyone and sometimes is related to everyone too.  Still though!  Oh, and also the officiant must sign and send to Dept. Of Health afterwards...
Ok, back to reading!
