Sean and I went to the fabric district in downtown LA this weekend. A few weeks ago, I had an idea for the wedding and I was eager to get the ball rolling on it. Especially when I realized it was mid-April and how quickly time has been flying by. The fabric district was a bit overwhelming... I think there are a few hundred thousand different fabrics if not more (haven't always been the best estimator). We only walked through a handful of stores, but we still saw more fabric than we've ever seen in our lives. In the end, we only found 2 possibilities. Both of which I actually do like, but am not 100% decided on. We decided to call it a day and do some research online before making our final decision.
On one hand, the first one is more "hawaiian-ey" and tropical and it has all of the colors together in one, but IDK how much hawaiian print I want everywhere... The 2nd one reminds me of palaka print which has always been popular in Hawaii. I picture it on the groomsmen with a pink flower as their boutonniere. I like both, but can't decide!

Hmmm...and as if there weren't enough options already, I randomly found a blog listing a website that allows you to create & design your own design and have fabric made out of it! How incredibly cool is that? www.spoonflower.com- I wonder how the design we made for the stickers on our envelopes would look on fabric?
